Ich weiss nicht so recht was ich davon halten soll. Eigentlich macht Del.icio.us ja grade deshalb Spass, weil ALLE Bookmarks öffentlich sind. Jetzt, wo man Bookmarks auch auf “do not share” stellen kann bekommt das bookmarken bei del.icio.us irgendwie einen redaktionellen Touch. Naja, zumindest hat man jetzt eine adäquate 2.0 Übersetzung von Privat: Nicht geteilt. Dabei ist das Teilen erst durch das Private jetzt teilbar.
This is a big step for del.icio.us, but one that I hope will make it more useful. Because del.icio.us is all about sharing and we don’t want to discourage that, we will be watching how this feature impacts the community and will also be experimenting a bit with the UI over the next few weeks.
So if you’re one of those antisocial types who doesn’t like to share their toys, this one’s for you. Give it a whirl and let us know what you think.

Zumindest werden kaum Anreize gesetzt, die Bookmarks zu verstecken (rot schreiendes ‘not shared’ in der Hauptmaske, wieviele andere ein Link auch gebookmarkt haben wird nicht mehr angezeigt, usw.)
Tja, trotzdem zu spät. Ich bin gerade weil mir die Möglichkeit zum privaten Abspeichern gefehlt hat, zu Blinklist gewechselt.
Und mir gefällts dort wesentlich besser als bei delicious. Sehr viele nützliche Funktionen, die eigentlich schon längst bei delicious sein müssten. Aber vielleicht ist man da ja jetzt mehr intern damit beschäftigt “Synergien zu nutzen”..
