Das ist glaube ich der erste Audio-Interview mit Charles Stross, das mir bislang untergekommen ist, und vor allem ein wirklich ausführliches. (Ich bin ja Fan). Und ein neues Buch gibt es auch bald. (Jetzt sollte ich schnell mal Air auslesen).
Thanks to the fine folks at the BBC in Edinburgh, their international relations division in London and KQED’s Howard Gelman, we had more than an hour of time to discuss genre, genres and the ties that bind them together for Stross. We covered all the high points that I suspect listeners will want to hear; space opera, economic genre fiction, gender bending and everything from the status of children in so-called Victorian London to Napoleonic space battles over far-flung planets, from the Cory Doctorow-alike lead character of ‘Accelerando’ to the status of children in so-called Victorian England.
