The artist visit the area at Vogesen in the east of France to produce this EP. He grabbed some of his studio equipment and drove with some friends to the nature. The city boy Peter Clamat was inspired by this charme of a village. In this unique even seclusion he created the sound of Usual Situation EP. The very special studio ambience was one of the main sources of the extraordinarily transparent and airy sound of the EP. Also enjoy the great video by Jörg X. Franzmann ( Perlon ) and Annette Sihler for the track Tantomal (Stockholm).

“Cubiculo” features a more structured, loop-based arrangement, drawing attention to a rounded and melodic stencil with focus on subtle, crystalised, micro-rhythm, surrounded by self-assurance and tangled textures with a salute towards the work of Oval and their deconstructed works of the 90’s.
“Cubiculo” creates a less-harsh listening environment compared to “The Giant Woods” album on Yuki Yaki (www.yukiyaki.org), released in December 2009 – this is another steadfast release carefully crafted, interwoven with unfolding elements that makes Maps and Diagrams’ compositions so precisely enduring.
“Cubiculo” will be available for free download in FLAC, mp3 and ogg formats via Fluid Audio and released on 12 March, out now from Fluid audio

Issue number 5 of the Modularfield “when we play live…” series this time with the Breitbandkater from Cologne City, Germany. Arteqcue hat die winterliche und umzugsbedingte Pause beendet und stellen mit Freude die neue EP vor. Auch wenn der König kein unbeschriebenes Blatt ist, gibt es über ihn nicht sehr viel an Informationen. Der Herr hält offensichtlich nichts von großen Worten und überzeugt stattdessen mit guter und deeper Musik.
